The 2009 Tournament is complete and yes we have another new record. You may remember in 2008 Joe Murray became the first two time Hackmaster Champion. After his first Hackmaster's win in 2004 Joe has found it tough to stay on top of the leaderboard. Finally capturing his second win in 2008 he was the only player with two Hackmaster Championships. Now Joe is the first to achieve back to back Hackmaster Tournament win's. That makes Joe Murray the only player with back to back Championships and the only player with three Hackmaster wins.

In an exclusive interview with Golf Magazine's David Feherty after shooting eighty eight on Tiger's Eye to clinch the win, Joe is quoted "I had nothing to prove. I got the monkey off my back with last year's win. My thought's were to have fun and play some smooth golf. I have to say it was nice picking up some "Okane Money" this year and I enjoyed Roger gunning for me on the last day."
